PAGCOR expects its total income to fall by about 18% in 2026, according to an August 2026 report. Chairman Alejandro Tengco also pointed to a pick-up in online gaming activity in July and August.
The reasons given for the lower forecast are weaker gaming activity, the removal of e-wallet links to online gambling platforms, and the economic impact of events in the Middle East.
Tengco said online gaming activity rose about 10% in July and stayed at that level in August.
The forecast follows a weak first half of the year, when PAGCOR’s revenue fell 26.6%.
